Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Charger Automata to register, transfer or manage a domain. Last updated: October 2026.

(01)

Who we are

Charger Automata is an Australian domain reseller. When you buy a domain through us, your registration is with an accredited registrar acting on our behalf; we handle your account, billing and support.

(02)

Your account

You must give accurate contact details when you register a domain — registry rules require real registrant information, and a domain can be suspended if the details are wrong or unreachable. Keep your account details current in Account settings.

Keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity under your account.

(03)

Eligibility for Australian domains

.com.au, .net.au and .au domains have eligibility rules set by auDA, the Australian domain administrator. You must hold an Australian Business Number (ABN), ACN or eligible trade mark, and the domain must match that name. If your eligibility turns out to be incorrect, the registry can cancel the domain and we can't refund it.

(04)

Payments and renewals

Prices are in AUD and include GST. A domain is registered only after payment clears.

If auto-renewal is on, we'll charge your saved card shortly before expiry and renew the domain for the same term. If a charge fails we'll retry and email you. You can turn auto-renewal off any time.

Renewal prices are the ones published on our pricing page at the time of renewal.

(05)

Refunds

If a registration or transfer can't be completed by the registry after payment, we refund you in full automatically.

Once a domain is successfully registered, domain registrations are non-refundable — registries don't refund registration fees.

(06)

Your use of domains

You must use domains lawfully and under the registry's policies (including auDA rules for Australian domains). Using a domain for spam, fraud, malware or unlawful content can lead to suspension without refund.

(07)

Transfers

Transferring a domain in keeps its remaining registration time and adds your new year. Transfers can take up to five days and may be rejected by the losing registrar — for example if the domain is locked or the code is wrong. We'll refund transfers the registry rejects.

(08)

Service availability

We aim for everything to work all the time, but we depend on registries and payment providers. We're not liable for losses caused by outages beyond our control.

(09)

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
